Production method:

I. It is esterified by acetic acid and isoamyl alcohol separated from fusel oil under sulfuric acid catalysis.

Isoamyl acetate exists in bananas and cacao beans and is used as raw material by separating amyl alcohol from fusel oil. Isoamyl alcohol and sulfuric acid were added to glacial acetic acid successively and heated reflux reaction was carried out. When the top temperature of the fractionating column reaches 132℃, the esterification is complete. After cooling, it is washed with water, neutralized with 10% NaOH solution, then washed to neutral, and finally dried with anhydrous calcium chloride and distilled, collecting fractions of 138 ~ 143℃, that is, the product.

It is obtained by esterification of acetic acid and isoamyl alcohol. In the mixture of acetic acid and amyl alcohol, sulfuric acid is added for esterification reaction, then neutralized with sodium carbonate (or caustic soda), dehydrated with calcium chloride to obtain crude ester, and then refined by distillation to obtain the finished product.
